What exactly
is a Hazelwood Park holiday home? - A Hazelwood Park holiday
home is a specially designed mobile park home or timber lodge built
so that it is as comfortable and warm in winter as it is in summer.
How long can I keep my
home on the Park? - Subject to you maintaining the home
in good condition, you can keep your home on the same pitch for
up to 50 years.
Will my home last that
long? - As every part of the home is replaceable there
is no reason why it shouldn't last for the whole of your agreement
and longer.
What is included in the
price? - Each home comes fully furnished to your specifications,
sited, connected to services, and with an attractive base and steps.
What do I have to pay as
an annual fee? - We currently charge a total amount of
£2,499.60 per year for our standard model size and up to £3,221.40
per year for our larger models. This includes rates, water/sewerage
costs, and ground maintenance. These charges are reviewed annually
in March.
How do I pay for gas, electricity
or telephone? - We supply LPG (liquid petroleum gas) from
our own bulk tanks, and currently bill our customers quarterly.
Generally electricity is also supplied by Hazelwood Park and again
billed quarterly. To spread the cost of payment you can set up a
monthly standing order.
When can I use my home?
- Hazelwood Park is open 50 weeks of the year. In practice
this means you can use your home whenever you want to except between
31 January and 15 February, but you must have a permanent residence
elsewhere where your council tax is paid, where you are registered
to vote and where you spend over half the year. As an example: one
individual can visit a Hazelwood Home for 2 weeks over Christmas
& New Year, 3 weeks over Easter, 1 week for Whitsun, 8 weeks
for the entire Summer, and 1 week for October half term and still
have another 68 days left to visit their home over the year. That's
another 17 long weekends or almost another 10 weeks holidaying!
And don't forget another friend or family member can use your home
when you're not. This may be a little hard to grasp but basically
you can get a huge amount of use out of a Holiday Home as long as
it does not become your permanent residence and remains a 'second
home'. For further explanation call 01626 866273
Are pets allowed on the
Park? - The Park is laid out on an open plan basis with
no fences or hedges between leisure homes. With prior approval,
we do allow owners to bring their dogs - but they must be kept under
control at all times.
Can I park my car? - Each
leisure home has a driveway with parking for one car. There are
visitor parking areas on the Park for your guests.
Can I leave my holiday
home to my children in my will? - Of course you can. It's
like any other possession. In fact, if your home is being used as
a business on 'buy to let' basis it will be subject to business
inheritance tax relief.
Is there good mobile phone reception at
Hazelwood Park? - Generally there is very good mobile
reception especially for 02, Vodafone and Orange.
Can I get Broadband? - Yes you
can. If you have a wireless enabled computer you
will be able to use our newly installed wi-fi system either on a
'pay as you' go basis or all year round. |
